I found these star shaped cells inside the gut of a marine scale worm with a compound scope, they have a very distinctive shape but I cannot find any information on what they might be. I suspect they might be the eggs of some sort of marine invertebrate but no clue which one.

Hi,
Maybe a kind of biocrystals? I saw similar structures in the common purslane plants.

I've seen various crystalline materials in marine suff that I've tentatively preserved in isopropyl alcohol; looks like some sort of precipitate.

However, it doesn't look anything like your stuff.
