These tiny microorganisms look like flagellated forms of the famous brain-eating amoeba Naegleria gruberi or its more "benevolent" sister Naegleria aquatilis.

In the same sample I found an amoeba with a long flagellum that I identified as Mastigamoeba sp., although it could also be the "adult" form of Naegleria.
