Alga colony ID

#1 Post by 75RR » Sun Oct 19, 2014 12:26 am

No luck on the web. Thought it might be Crucigenia but could not find any images of them in a circle.
Mystery colony is about 225µm across (diameter)

Hello,
Bacteria are unlikely, because an internal structure is visible. Most bacteria do not have internal structures visible with light microscopes (except PHB deposits or endospores).
