reassemble the 16mm moticam Lens adapter

#1 Post by Manuel » Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:02 pm

Hello, I need a guide to reassemble the 16mm moticam Lens adapter, which is exposed on this page: https://www.motic.com/As_Accessories_Di ... t_358.html
While cleaning the lenses, I took it apart by mistake. It has 3 lenses and two rings. You would need to know the correct order and position of each of these pieces to reassemble the adapter lens.
They are two plano-convex lenses, a biconvex lens and two rings (one thin silver, the other thick black).

thank you, :)

Manuel

Sorry, Manuel ... I can’t really help : But my guess would be that the design is based on the Cooke Triplet, or the Zeiss Tessar

If you can post some photos of the elements and spacers we may be able to do better

Meanwhile, have a look here : https://www.photo.net/discuss/threads/t ... -p.476343/

... see if anything looks familiar.

Since you presumably were cleaning it because it was dirty, unless you did a perfect job, maybe you can still identify the two external surfaces? That would at least narrow down the number of possibilities significantly.
