Articulated Arm Mount

#1 Post by hot_n_stinky_dreams » Wed Dec 22, 2021 11:43 pm

Hi guys,

I recently got a good deal on three articulated arms, none of which have mount points.
I'm trying to find a particular component and I'm having trouble articulating the search for the piece I need.

Does anyone know where I can find the part that's circled in the attached photo? I'm not sure what the technical name for it is, other than "articulated arm mount."
It doesn't have to mount to a bar--could be a C-clamp or just a base plate.

Thanks!

Thanks.
I saw those but I'm not sure they're worth $100 apiece. Might just have to fabricate my own.

Yeah, not when whole arms with adapters are being advertised for like 200 bucks. But the stock photos or listing details might help you find a more direct chinese source I guess.

I have one. I consider it to be a lot of hype. I wound up using it for my computer monitor. Greg

The original DI/Leica ones are quite nice. I doubt one that retails for 200 is of quite the same quality, though they do look almost identical.

Yeah, they're helpful enough to build a prototype--I do appreciate it. I'm thinking I can probably source a brass collar and embed it in a chunk of hardwood.
Either that or I'll see if the local VoTech can whip something up for less than $100 a pop.

Greg, you don't like your articulating arm (for a stereo microscope) ?

I have an adjustable boom stereo scope. I don't use it as much as I should. Greg
