mechanical stage to fit

#1 Post by Judge » Thu Jan 20, 2022 8:17 pm

I am looking for a mechanical stage that fits a Swift SW200DL. Does anyone know where I could find one or is there a way to modify a different mechanical stage to fit?

I have a 'children' microscope Bresser Biolux AL, that has a mechanical stage, that did not allow the slide to be fully viewable, because it was not properly positioned on the stage. Too much towards the center. And the edge of the mechanical would even hit the objective.

A major design flaw by Bresser.

What I did is reposition it by unscrewing it. You will then see that there are extra screws that are keeping it in place, since they fit the holes in the stage. Those can be unscrewed as well.
Then glue it on the stage again with superglue.

Now if you want to have a mechanical stage, you can find them on Aliexpress or Ebay for around 20 euro. Maybe not the best quality, but they look a lot like what is used on the Bresser microscope.
Make sure you know the size so it fits. And just glue it.
