Need ID on this Zeiss accessory

Any idea what the part on the left is ?
The person that took the picture don't know either. All I can imagine is some kind of epi illumination stuff.

Some higher quality photos of the part and how it fits on the microscope will allow us to guess better.

I imagine a Zeiss expert may be able to tell from your current photo, but I am certainly not.
