Micro-Duromat 4000E users manual

#1 Post by FodorG. » Thu Jul 12, 2018 7:25 am

Dear Members, good Morning,

I am Gábor Fodor from Hungary, a new member on this forum.
I am primarely interested about metallurgical microscopy.
I would like to ask your help if possible; I purchased an Anton-Paar Micro-Duromat 4000 E microhardness tester (it was the regular accessory of PolyVar), but I have no users guide.
If simeone could help to find a users manual for this instrument I would be very thankful.

My best wishes for you all, have a great day!

GF.

Hello Fodor
There is a quite recent article by researchers who actually used an instrument similar to yours, model 4000. Here are the article details

EXAMINATION OF LAYER OVERLAID WITH ADDITION OF TiN NANO PARTICLES
Plamen Tashev, Rumyana Lazarova
weld@abv.bg, r.lazarova@ims.bas.bg
IMSETCH "Acad. A. Balevski" - BAS,

Transport volume 11, issue 2, 2013
Communications article № 0777

Perhaps they can help.

Also, how about contact the Anton Paar offices? here are details:

Thanks a lot for your recommendations.
I contacted before Anton-Paar of course. The lady was very nice and helpful but their available library doesn't contain anything about this unit, unfortunately.
I will try the other option which you mentioned.

All further informations are very welcome.

All the bests!

GF.

You are most welcome - and here is some more info.

For mail - Rondinella. of Montpellier.

It seems that the instrument was marketed by Vickers(?). Incidentally, I looked up the Wikipedia, Vickers Hardness Test, and indeed, the apparatus in the picture there (unknown model) includes a microscope!

Hello,

I know that this is old post but I'm looking for some parts (or wiring diagram) for this device.
I'm using Reichert-Jung MeF3 microscope in my lab, but MicroDuromat control device has burn. :/

We have been using this microscope since the 1980s and we have all manuals. So I can share the scans if anyone is interested.

All the best!
Michał
