Leuckart Wall Charts

#1 Post by Dennis » Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:21 am

https://darchive.mblwhoilibrary.org/handle/1912/15969

At bottom of page choose "Load more" then choose arrows to see more.

Use the bottom HTML view to see them if you want to download them

Can download charts you want as high of resolution as you want.

I downloaded this one at second highest (cropped tiff) I am sure I do not really need it that high unless printing it out.-

I recently saw a "cyclops" in a lake water sample.

If you search "Protozoa" on the WhoAs search can get a few familiar ones in those charts.

That website has many other things. I found a PDF of old microscopy type magazine or newsletter from the 1930s and was looking at it.

But anyhow also the charts are here also-

I wish there were more protists (protozoa) or whatever like in water samples but I guess some people here also want to see insects or whatever.

Hi Dennis,
Do you happen to know whether this is the same Leuckart from whom the Leuckart moulds (metal angles to build individual paraffin moulds) are named?

Bob,
I didn't know anything at all about this man prior to today web searching.
And yesterday found that website just web searching.
And also..... I am not too knowledgeable on any microscopy protozoa stuff.
I know how to work the scope and the common main names of protists.
