WTB X-drive from Zeiss rotating stage 4227544

Have a problem finding shops that sell specific materials? Ask here. Are you looking for microscope parts? Do you have anything to offer for sale? Note: this is not a section for external companies to advertise their products.

Not sure if the number you list (473456) is a serial # for the stage or a part number for the drive screw. I have this assembly with the number 4753082 appearing below the Zeiss logo if it helps. I use Leitz and Olympus equipment so have no real need of the Zeiss stage, but don't want to salvage parts from it. The housing for the drive screw is 4 7/8" (120mm) long x 1 1/16"(27mm) at the widest point. The slide carriage moves smoothly in both directions. The table rotates easily as well. Care to make me an offer I can't refuse?

Thanks for the reply Jimur. Although the numbers are different, it looks identical to mine.

Someone in another thread on here seemed to think I could get parts for around $100, which would be great, though I'm not sure where to get those parts from. Anyhow, I think you just want to sell the whole thing, rather than taking parts from it if I understand you correctly?

So maybe add $100 for the Y axis and another $100 for the stage = $300 would work?

Cheers
Markus

If you can't find a replacement, it might be worth reaching out to the folks at hobby-machinst.com and other machining forums as I am pretty sure that can be salvaged. Probably someone no too far from you who might be able to assist in repair or fabrication.

I think $300 would be overkill Markus. I've seen them listed on ebay for around $200. However as I stated, I really have no use for the assembly. If you feel $300 would be a reasonable offer and willing, you can have it for $100 plus shipping. :D As dtsh suggested, you might find some one who could repair the broken part for less. If you want to explore that possibility this will remain waiting for you at the $100 price. If it doesn't fit your need, pay the return shipping and send it back undamaged within a reasonable time frame for a refund of your $100. I think my offer is fair considering I don't want to piece mill it out and you don't really need the entire assembly. I can also send additional photos if you like.

Expresses my opinion as well!

The good thing about this stage is that the X and Y knobs are totally separate from each other, so the X can be repaired or replaced.

Aw, mate thanks so much, that's really kind of you, like seriously! :-) And yes, I'd love to accept your offer! I just wish I had something you needed in return so I could repay the favor.

I'll PM you to sort out details.

Thanks again
