Microscopes for sale

#1 Post by lorez2 » Sat Apr 24, 2021 12:40 am

This may be a bit premature as I have not yet made a list, but after 50 years of accumulating microscopes I am now going to unload the whole lot. I have assorted AO10, and AO410, Olympus BH2 and CH2, Nikon E400 and other assorted Eclipse series accessories, some later Olympus like the BX40, 41, 43, etc., Nikon Labophot2, AlphaPhot varieties and a few Zeiss older models. I also have quite a few student scopes which are simple enough for a youngster, but not complete junk... most came from high schools.

All the best to everyone.'

Long time no see or hear from, I've been wondering where and how you've been...

I've been looking for an Olympus BH2-UCD Universal Condenser.

Kurt,

There was a fork in life's road and I missed the turn. I haven't been far from the scopes, but the web went by the wayside.

I will look for the condenser.

Also nice to hear that you are still in the fray. Lot's of catching up to do.

PS I rejoined as lorez2 because I couldn't remember any of the secret handshakes.

When you are digging through your A.O stuff if you come across a #1212 20X dark phase objective I'd be very interested!

I'm interested in AO stuff, but at the top of my AO wants are 15x 182 eyepieces and a 1040 vertical monocular head.

Lorez, that was a dramatic announcement! I know what you mean by "accumulating microscopes" though. Do you mean that you won't keep any instruments at all?

If you do proceed with the sale then an item that I'm looking for is a BH2 trinoc superwidefield head. Mine is damaged (severe mis-collimation) and I'm only using one eyepiece for visual work now. If you had such an item I would be interested in purchasing it.

Good luck in your endeavour!

Lorez, I can be reached by email using ngc704 @ either aol.com or gmail.com (strangely enough, the AOL address, which I've had since 1992, has been the most reliable of the dozen or so email addys I've used and/or accumulated over the years, and still is). I hope to hear from you at some point or another!
