Due to lack of room I am selling my Zeiss Standard 18 microscope which was serviced about 8 years ago and continues to operate very well with no problems at all. Condition is over all good.
As many of you will know the model 18 is the next best thing to the WL and comes equipped with removable quintuple turret - all the other accessories (stage condenser etc) can be removed and upgraded too.

I can sell this as a base unit with no objectives or equip with a selection of objectives of your choice; either semi-plan plan or mix of the former with neofluar objectives.

Condenser-wise I have a standard 0.9na flip out condenser or the better flip out 1.3na condenser both in good working order. I also have a boxed phase contrast aplanatic 1.4 condenser if wished for (see photos below) which includes darkfield and brightfield.

The unit comes with the original lighting and power supply. (photo to be added later)

The head is binocular and comes equipped with a pair of quality original KPL X10 eyepieces

The stage is the ultrawide mechanical stage which is super smooth to operate.

I am UK based and so really only looking to sell within the UK. I am open to offers price-wise and don't seek to make a profit just to have the microscope go to a good owner who can make use of it.

This is the aplanatic phase contrast condenser that I could add to the microscope in place of other condensers.

I will hold this microscope on the forum for 2 weeks and then sadly place it on the big E.

I am open to offers. I can sell the stand with no attachments or have it dressed up as one wishes.

I believe it's a model directly preceding the Standard 14/16/18 line, based on photos seen in an early 60s catalog or brochure. I reckon it was called the Standard RA, but I don't known if there were different names or model numbers for ones with a replaceable nosepiece versus non-replaceable ones (mine belongs to the latter category).

It's still a recent buy and I consider it my first "proper" scope, as I've only fiddled around with a rather cheap Brunel and one other underwhelming mass-produced Chinese microscope before. I know they're quite incomparable, but dear lord the build and optics are one a whole different level. I considered £400 was a rather good deal for a near-perfectly working Zeiss Standard with the original wooden case, trinocular head, 3 Neofluar Ph objectives (100x, 40x, 25x), an apo 40x objective, a plan achromat 2.5x (less excited about that one, but sure), a widefield optovar, Kpl 10x oculars, a 1.2/1.4 NA darkfield condenser, and a 0.9 NA phase contrast condenser II Z.

Apologies for late reply. Yes I am happy to sell the boxed phase contrast condenser by itself.

I am bumping this up since I couldn't face selling on eBay. As explained - I can sell just the microscope body (no objectives) - or can add a range of objectives to suit (I have Zeiss semi-plans, as well as neofluar and planapos). All glass is clean with no fungus or delamination unless stated.

Likewise, I can provide either of 3 condensers: standard 0.9na flip out condenser or the better flip out 1.3na condenser both in good working order.

or the wonderful aplanatic phase contrast condenser which includes darkfield.

I am also willing to sell individual parts separately, so feel free to leave a post here or send me a private message.
