Re: Olympus BX items for sale
Are there no common parts for the BX range?
Just curious about the reason for the sale ....

Re: Olympus BX items for sale
I have a U-READB-SP which appears to be different to the U-READB, though slightly.
Since this part is highly sought after, I can provide more information.
A BX40 was offered without a nosepiece:
BX40F/S2;BX40 FRAME WITHOUT NOSEPC,NEED U-READB TO MT NOSE
U-READB:
U-READB;TO MOUNT 6 POSITION/POLARIZING NOSEPIECE ON BX40
Now, to mount the BD type 5-position nosepiece, you need something else:
U-READBD;TO MOUNT 5 POSITION NOSEPEICE, NEO THREAD, ON BX40

Hi Pete.
I would like to ask if you have a U-TRU, U-TRUS or a trinocular head for a BX50.
I would also be interested in prices for the Universal condenser, U-D6RE, U-DICT (or equivalent) and U-ANT.
Thanks.

Re: Olympus BX items for sale
Nikon did make an ergo head with an ultrawide tube lens and direct path to the camera asode from a prism (2 positions, 100% eyepiece and a 20/80 eyepiece camera split), though they're big, erect image and you'd need and adapter and get +10% mag. Still, it is my favorite head ever made. If you're ever interested I have an extra one I repaired if you ever want to do a swap.PeteM wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 8:22 pmThe ideal would be a head that miraculously manages to tilt to the perfect position, has a slightly wider field of view than the U-TRU/ergo combination, and only a tube lens en route to the camera. Olympus might make such a thing, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford it.

Re: Olympus BX items for sale
There is no nfk that captures the superwide field that the sw trinocular with 30mm eyepieces provides.

Re: Olympus BX items for sale
It is a common problem that systems were and are designed without any way to capture the full field of the widest field objectives on a camera. Sometimes this can be worked around though.
