Wanted PZO base MB-10 vs MB-30 vs Biolar part availability

Have a problem finding shops that sell specific materials? Ask here. Are you looking for microscope parts? Do you have anything to offer for sale? Note: this is not a section for external companies to advertise their products.

Wanted PZO base MB-10 vs MB-30 vs Biolar part availability

Looking for economically priced PZO bases. (on inter-compatible equivalents.)

Just wondering if rebuilding MB10's are possible, or if the Koehler glass parts are difficult to source.
(I am happy to retrofit modern led systems onto them, retaining the vintage equipment is not a priority for me; if I found a very bad condition stand for very cheap I may resurface it completely.)

Trying to decide if I setup an MB10,MB30 or just get a Biolar stand to compile all my PZO parts onto.
Also concerned if a cheap stand has expensive issues that may not be obvious.
It seems all parts are interchangeable, and being the most popular the Biolar model seems like a good move.

I would usually just buy a complete system, but I had already committed to various parts separately...

If anybody is selling spare microscope stands let me know :)

Yes, the systems seb is selling are still very, very tempting.

Any advice is always welcomed.

Are you in the UK ? PZO had a fairly well established market in the UK, France, Spain, most of Europe, in fact. Not a lot, here in North America. There is a fairly healthy supply of bits , coming out of a few former Soviet satellite countries. I have seen entire bare stands, mostly the Biolar, which was the flagship microscope. Keep looking, is all I can say. It is amazing what sometimes, pops up.
