That is a dead Rotifer who's leg and foot and toes are still moving for over 2 hours because of nerves.
The Rotifer's toes even I think felt the Paramecium rub up against them and might be giving the Paramecium a massage.

I guess the caption could read-
A dying Rotifer's foot continued to move for several hours.
From it's seemingly knowing movements Paramecium received five massages.
OR-
A Paramecium receives a massage or perhaps a "Communication" as well from a dying Rotifer.
(We do not even really know the communications etc...)
A video was shot which captures all this explicitly.
A Nikon S Cb microscope with a Nikon Plan 10X objective lens
and an AmScope MD500 USB camera were used to capture the photo.
