A heads up on who evolution news are.

This is from their 'about' page:

"Evolution News & Science Today publishes work by scientists associated with Discovery Institute’s Center for Science & Culture as well as independent scholars and writers."

Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8

Thanks for posting.
My understanding is part of the design structure of diatoms is O² has to be regulated somehow, being the byproduct of photosynthesis.
Sunlight produces more gas making them stay nearer the surface.
