I know smoking is not good for my health but...never mind.
Today I printed my self made cigars packages linked to my hobby.
It's something I do from time to time in order not having to look at the dull cigarettes/cigars packages they sell today.

The only connection that I ever had between smoking and microscopes has been cleaning smoke debris from optics. i once had an old pair of binoculars I was asked to clean that had a yellow image from oxidized nicotine.

Well maybe it could be even more gruelling than that;
(E.M.Nelson's technique as described by A.C.Coles in 'Critical Microscopy' ):
Mr Nelson, when working at concert pitch will not smoke and will not see any bright light for a week ; at the end of that time he finds his eye much more sensitive to delicate images

I feel pipes are a better match to microscopes.
