If you look
close-up
through a microscope at
what constitutes flesh,
the boxes that organize life
squeeze each other in life grips,
hug tight. Life wrestles.
Small cells make sad attempts
to gain against big ones.
Where do they get the
proclivity to gain?
How much do they
need to take the space?
The body is a contest,
each unit envious of its neighbors.
