Re: What model ?
I believe that is a Bausch and Lomb Stereozoom SZ3.
Re: What model ?
Bausch & Lomb identified three components of this particular microscope to establish a catalog number. The body is identified by its magnification range 1-2.5X and is called a 125.
Since it is a zoom it is called a variable body and the catalog name is VB
The stand that has the focusing arm and flat base is called an A stand.
The trans-illumination base which attaches to the A stand changes the designation and is called a B stand.
So, the official catalog name of this microscope is the BVB-125. This means there is a trans-illuminated base with a 1-2.5X zoom range body.
If it did not have the transilluminated base it would be called AVB-125.
There were many different arms and stands and each had its own designation.
