Finally photos of my scopes
In the past twelve months I have purchased 6 new scopes. Here they are.
Not shown is a t420c which gives excellent performance. All are Amscope.

Pretty impressive. Do you have any special function for each?

Sure. The petrographic scope is used to identify minerals and rocks. That becomes difficult when you consider there are some 4000 minerals.
The b660 is used for finding critters in pond water and such.
I use the stereo scope for careful study of large things like whole leaves and vegetation.
The metallurgical scope is usually used for examination of opaque items as its lighting is directed from the top through the objectives.
The t420 is a go to scope which provides wonderful imaging and contrast. I use it for bright field, dark field, oblique and Rheinberg, while the b660 does phase contrast.
I'm having a ball.

Hi Greg,
nice microscope range you have there! Do you grind your own stone slides?

No. I bought them. I'm not set up for that. I don't have a garage so there's no room. You can get thin sections on e bay from time to time and you can buy them from Ward Science. They are expensive at Wards. A dozen cost $470.00.

But garages are for cars! What you need is a lab - doesn't it fit in you kitchen?

Re: Finally photos of my scopes
I have a very small space. I've been wanting to throw out the furniture to take over the living room but, alas, my wife says refutes that idea. I do have a nice range of scopes. There are more expensive scopes for every one of these tasks but I find that increasing costs and quality at this point increases specificity and reduces versatility. It becomes a trade off.
