The quality of this microscope is in the illumination. Power supply unit without adjustment. Two filters are used blue and neutral which gives a white pleasant light. This condenser allows you to work with non-adjustable lighting. But the lamps have a life of 100 hours, it's sad.

If you could limit the voltage just a little bit, you can add many hours to the life of the bulb.

Steps below are for an incandescent bulb rated at 12v with a 100 hour life running at 10v. Even at 11v you prolong the bulb life appreciably.

For limit the voltage, I use a power supply and a lamp from LOMO
