Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Nice space! And impressively neat, too! Looks like you have just about everything you could need.
Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Yeah, when I post photos I like to keep them close and narrowly cropped, easier to shuffle all the junk out of the background and maintain an illusion of cleanliness.
What's the wood (?) box in the lower right corner?
Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Love it!
Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Very nice setup Greg. Do you have a bed tucked away in there somewhere?

The box in lower right is the victrola, currently playing 1812 overture. The bed is in the adjacent room, and I work hard to keep it clean because otherwise I have so much stuffed in that I can't find anything.
Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Great Idea for the guide/book stand I see on the background, Im always fumbling trying to find a place to open mine.

I notice you have an Albatross or something similar suspended from the ceiling in the corner. Is that a relic from bygone days or is it a current flyer?

I built the old German Tri Wing close to 12 years ago. It is accompanied by many models hanging from the ceiling. An old hobby.

Greg Howald nice lab! I like how everywhere you turn there’s a different scope to enjoy.. I wish I was neat like that-one day maybe…oh I see you’ve got Mozart’s Gran Partita in your CD collection-and the superb Czechoslovak orchestral version-my favourite.
Only kidding! (Not kidding about it being a great piece of music)
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful set up, Greg, thanks for sharing with us. Where are the multiple dustcovers for that wonderful equipment? Did you buy each stand well fitted out with optics, or did you 'start collecting a family of stands bit by bit?
Again, thanks for sharing, charlie g

Hi Greg,
may I guess...you like microscopes
But it is getting packed...not too much space left for more, it is a pitty.

I've been trying to talk my wife in to letting me take over the living room, but no luck yet.

The dust covers for these scopes is two queen sized pillow cases. I bought each scope one at a time and have one drawer full of eyepieces, one for objectives, one for condensers and one for various lighting techniques and filters. I have a ball and I get to learn too. Right now I'm set up for the study of monocot and dicot plants. In the fall I will change over to pond water again.

Re: WELCOME TO MY LABRATORY
Very nice! It is interesting to get know people here on a deeper level. I would love to see more lab pictures from forum members.

My "lab" looks a lot like Dr Emmett Brown worked there
