I have a zeiss axiovert a1 inverted scope with 5x, 10x, 20x, and 40x phase objectives and plas-DIC. No room in my rather small house so it lives on one of the lab benches at work.

Re: Zeiss Axiovert a1
Very cool! I'd love to see how images from the plas-DIC look outside of a brochure. It seems like a cool technique.
Re: Zeiss Axiovert a1
I bought it second hand so no camera quite yet (and I’m stuck with ordering an eyepiece camera, currently on order but not here yet). On the other hand, I never could have afforded to buy this scope new with my own money.
Plas-DIC is a nice technique but you still get better overall imaging of fine structure from Nomarski DIC. The department owns a couple of scopes that do DIC (and fluorescence), a Zeiss axiovert 135 and a Nikon Eclipse E600
