My latest acquisition: a Fisher Price microscope

My latest microscope looks like some kids toy grown too large. Picture quality is quite good though.

You could always start a collection: https://www.transformerland.com/wiki/to ... eptor/477/

More seriously, Alexander, I've heard that Zeiss is excellent. How would you compare its optical quality to others you've used?

I once looked through that one, a bit odd design but practical, I like it... The electronic commands are nice. :)

Pete, compared to the stereo microscopes I used before, picture quality is pretty good. But I never have used some high-end one like the apo-chromatic corrected Zeiss 508. While the DV4 looks somewhat odd it has good haptic and functionality. I like the steep angle of the eye-pieces. It gives a more relaxed working position.

Ha, I worked in a university lab that had a couple of those back in 2015, and I had the same reaction when I first laid eyes on them -- oh look Fischer-Price microscopes oh boy!! But yeah, they're very nice stereo scopes, if a bit silly looking. Thanks for the memories and the laugh!
