Just wait until you have 160 microscopes, but your wife has run away and taken your electric train set with her.

That's why I love buying used--you can often resell at what you paid or more if you bought it right, giving you roon for more.
Doesn't mean you will, but in theory you can.
What else do you have your eye on at this point?

Unable to buy scopes I went for better cameras, and I finally have seeds that have sprouted so the next experiment starts tomorrow after spending two years playing with pond water.
By the way, I bought a bag of planting mix to work with plants. I put some in a petri dish and added water. Looking at a drop of water two days layer I found paramecium.
Go figure.

You should have bought monoculars, then you could have gotten away with 32.

I have a natural and strong tendency to minimalism. Just reading that you own 16 microscopes stresses me out :D

Ah

The beauty of the instruments. The craftsmanship.
Leitz, Zeiss, American Optical.
I am just out of room and need to pay attention to what I have, or rather what has me.😊

Just tell her, that it could be also 1 microscope and 16 women. That usually settles it.

If you had to choose between winning the lottery and getting divorced, which microscope would you buy?

Sell them and buy an electron microscope.
