My new toy, Chinese field microscope in the 1960s
My new toy, Chinese field microscope in the 1960s
In view of my poor English, try to use pictures to express
By chance, I found this article.https://www.baertierchen.de/jun2010.html
A week later, the stapler arrived
I can't wait to try it today. From the perspective of my amateur player, I feel:
1. The cost of materials is not considered, but the degree of workmanship is not comparable with BH2, which conforms to the characteristics of small batch handmade products.
2. The optical quality is far beyond imagination (the picture is taken directly from the eyepiece with a smart phone). It is hard to imagine that there were such a group of optical craftsmen in China when I was born.
3. Reflector and stage need stable manual control, which makes my thick fingers more awkward (also spoiled by BHS). If you are interested, please contact me, you know

Very nice! I thought about buying a TWX-1 a while ago.
Is that eyepiece standard size and removable? I know my poor eyes would not work with those small eye lenses, even though the rest of the scope looks very nice.
Those objectives may not cover bigger view field though, I am guessing.

It sounds a little weird, but yes, it can
The original eyepiece is threaded, I just put WHK on it

Wait, can the WHK eyepiece sit down more into the eye tube? As it sits in that photo, your tube length may be too long. TWX-1 is a finite design with folded optical pathways.
I guess it is not too difficult to DIY cut away some of the eyepiece bottom, if there is no glass element at the bottom.

Yes, I haven't decided whether to cut the WHK pipe or destroy the original thread
Maybe this problem should be left to the next collector

About a year ago, I enquired about purchasing one if those from the factory who were listing it on Made in China.com. They said it was discontinued.

Are these readily available in China, woyjwjl? What's the going rate? Seeing the eyepiece is standard 23.4mm, I'm definitely tempted by this!

I found that there is a small amount of circulation in the market.
