Galf's gear - pt.1

#1 Post by Galf » Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:24 pm

Still fighting with some of the forum's do's & don'ts but here are some pics of what I consider my current workhorse, the SM-LUX in improving Phaco-setup. Later some some pics of my oldies, the SM-POL and Wild M5.

I have no idea why the pics are 90-degrees off...

Somehow only Leitz in the picture.

Hi Galf,
when I copy it and insert it into Irfan view, the image is turned sideways. Here it turned it upright and posted it again. Works!

Looks unused - nice find.

On a slight side note, amazing how the colour can vary so much within one session.

Actually it is from different sessions with weeks in between 8-)

The scope is next to my home-workplace for some breaks during extended screen-time. Also easy to attach a cam every now and then.
It also was certainly used and modified by previous owners, the stage is from an Orthoplan I believe...
I'll try Irvanview when edditing/resizing pictures again.

Cheers, Theo

I am sure it has been used. I meant it looks to be in pristine condition.

Not many old microscopes do.

That would account for the variation in the lighting.

Saw my old post and it needs updating. In the meantime I acquired a Leitz HM-LUX which is as neat a performer as the most recent found, a Dialux from 1973 with all modular exchangeable parts.
The cheap polarization kit fits all Leitz's of that range. One nose-piece with all phaco-objectives and one with loose random ones sitting around for testing. Now looking for a functional slider that fits above the nose-piece.

Some applications rotate images based on embedded metadata, others do not.
