Rod bacteria?

Are the blue lines in this sample stained with diff-quik rod bacteria Or something else?

Without any sizing information it is quite hard to answer your question.

What is the absolut size of the objects in question in micro meters?

I don’t have a micrometer but the total magnification was 400x

If there was no picture cropping and the picture represents what was seen through the eye-pieces I doubt that this objects are bacteria. At 400x they appear to big for that. Besides that, bacteria tend to live in colonies not as singles. You typically find them concentrated in some spots not evenly distributed over the sample.

They also don't look like rods. Rod bactetis are usually smallrr than 10 microns and you can see the individual bacteria units lined up in the string.
