Has anyone ever seen a digital microscope like this before?

Do you have any microscopy questions, which you are afraid to ask? This is your place.

Yes ... on demonstration at the MMC exhibition a couple of years back, in Manchester, England

The styling is rather tacky, but the performance is impressive !

... you should also find videos about some of the previous models
Too many 'projects'

Can't find a price, but I assume its will be very expensive.

I have had the microscope demonstrated at my lab several times.
Very nice!
The company representatives have been very friendly and willing to discuss prices, etc. but there are many possible configurations which affects the cost. I was looking at the BZ-X800, which is a fully automated fluorescence microscope with many features beyond the pictured version.
These are definitely research grade instruments.
Test drive one if you ever get a chance!

They are neat scopes with a few extremely clever software/optical tricks (like extremely fast stacking) but they do suffer in terms of absolute resolution. Pretty much the only major drawback, that and the price of course. The strong reliance on specific software will make them an unlikely target for us amateurs though.

Idk... If I am ever loaded with cash I want one amature or not. I do have a background in computer science so I’ll eyeball it, probably isnt too hard.

I do plan on being rich, I cant foresee myself enjoying science as fully as I would like without being Mr Money Bags like Charles Darwin was

You think they would sell me one if I was rich enough? Even if I am not a bonefide expert?

I really can't stand companies that advertise a range of 20x to 6,000X--effort free--The microscope dreams for you.

Idk. It does seem like a preposterous claim. On the other hand this thing is probably worth more than 50,000USD

But with such a high price point I could consider an electron microscope

If you got an electron microscope you would need a vacuum enclosure, a supply of gold powder, and all kinds of stuff. This is not a world for amateurs.

I like frustrating myself with a good challenge. But only if I can afford it. Currently I cant, but I can foresee a future where that may not always be the case.

I have an idea about interfacing the stock market with fungus into a type of digital/biological Mycorrhiza.

But if that approach doesnt pan out then I might attempt using swarm intelligence instead in a manner similar to what the company Anonymous AI is using.

Bottom line is the kinda Science I want to be a part of cost a lot of Money. Therefore I need to obtain large quantities money by means which are most likely to yield a substantial return on my investments

I am also learning Financial Engineering in my spare time, so if all else fails I can default to the methods normally being implemented by todays proven alorithms. The math & design of which are already worked out in advance.

If your goal is to look at things or take still photos you can get much better results for a lot less money, just with a bit less glitz. They do make certsin types of video and 3D modeling work a lot easier.

Yeah dude, we live in exciting times for sure. In 10 years who knows what kinda advanced tech will be affordable? It exponentially advances in its evolution.

I just hope politicians dont destroy the world. I mean seriously everybody just needs more hobbies so we can all leave each other alone and more importantly let science WORK
