Omax 82es va swift 380b
Hey i am new to microscopy and I am trying to compare these two microscopes. The swift is 70 dollars more than the omax, but it seems that the specs are the same. Is it worth paying more for swift or omax. Can someone investigate the differences because I can’t find any. Which one is better?

I would go with the Omax, but that's my personal choice. Both are good scopes.
If I can't see it with my microscope, it ain't worth looking at.

Did you already buy one?
There are no significant differences between these two scopes. They will offer the same level of performance and have the same basic feature set.
I have a preference for the Siedentopf head on the swift (easier to set the distance between them as you go from one person to another) but they both work fine. Other microscopes in this class are the AmScope B490 or B120. Actually, there are lots of scopes in this class.
Also consider getting a scope with a trinocular head. They cost a little extra, but if you decide to start taking pictures or videos, they are nice to have.
