Are Phase Centering Telescopes Different

#1 Post by Jomar » Sat Oct 30, 2021 2:49 pm

Hi,

I bought my son a used Bausch & Lomb PCM scope. We don't have a centering telescope. I've looked at some used ones and was wondering if there are differences. Do I need a certain one for a particular microscope or are they all somewhat similar. I saw a couple of old B & L centering telescopes and one looks exactly like the one I saw in the microscope manual I downloaded. There is another B & L centering telescope that is significantly cheaper. There are also other cheaper ones but not the same brand as the scope. Does it matter?

Thanks in advance.

.
As long as they fit snugly in the eyepiece tube, (most are 23.2mm) then any make will do.
Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8
Olympus E-P2 (Micro Four Thirds Camera)
