Bought this guy ..
Got this old timer off auction site, paid 50 bucks total shipped. I know the inherent risk buying like this but I figured it was worth a shot. https://shopgoodwill.com/item/137183647

Oh that's lovely. Condenser and mechanical stage, three lens nose. Those can be made to tilt back if you like for ergonomics, or can be kept just as they are as the vertical orientation is very good for heavy camera setups should you want to employ one.

That's a great find!

A fogging can build up inside glass surfaces of the eyepeice, it doesnt take much of this to soften and ruin the view.
It can be cleaned off. A good way to check is to stick the eyepiece on a mobile phone light :
(This one also has dust on the outside surface) There are generally only two lenses in an eyepiece, both can be got at by undoing each end.
- The big one at the bottom that is held in by a ring and the other that is mounted into the top cap.
The bottom lens has different curvatures on each side (generally the most curved surface is the outside one) so make a note of how it comes out.
Its a good idea to mark one end of the outside of the eyepeice tube before you take these lenses out, as there is a permanent baffle mounted in the tube ... and it is often more towards one end than the other.

I have a similar model from AO. If well cared for it should still perform very well. Sure a brand new one using all the latest tech will perform better and give wider views, but as a hobbyist that level of performance isn't always necessary. In a measure of performance to cost, it's hard to beat.
