I was curious about how the microbes and or protozoa vary in frog ponds, versus clear water lakes, streams, bogs, rivers, soil etc? What has your experience with this been?

I am also curious about this sort of thing, as well as how microbes vary across the globe.

At a guess, the different environments matter more than the country, some microbes seem to have a very wide distribution.
