mrsonchus

Thanks for the information. I will try that next time I post an image.

Edit I have tried to post an image from Irista as you suggested but all I got was a little square with image written next to it and no picture. What could I be doing wrong?

Try again This one from Google Drive.

No that doesn't work either. Hmmmm

Anyway this is what I was trying to post and it is a Campanula pollen grain.

Hi MichaelG

Thanks for your very detailed look at my images and for the information about only needing the first two from the stack, I will try that out later and see if it makes any difference to the final image quality of my first try with PS.

Did you open the image in your G-drive shared-folder to the gallery view (i.e. just large single image with the < and > controls? From there, assuming the image is within a SHARED folder, right-click the image and select "copy image address" from the pop-up list - then, with the address copied, 'paste' it into the img brackets.
The image must be opened from within a shared album in you Google-photos, the right-clicked etc.

Check that the album is actually set as shared....

Anyway this is what I was trying to post

Hi John,

Yes I did that but it still doesn't work hay ho I am at a loss. Folder is shared image is shared. Does it have to be set to edit as I have only set it to view.

Please do be aware that my comment about only using the first two images relates only to the lower part of the image ... all four seem to contribute usefully to the upper part.

Edit: This should clarify the point:

MichaelG.

Hi I had noticed that when I making the first few stacks with Picolay that some parts seemed to change and others not when looking at the two directions high to low and low to high. the two different pollen grains must be sitting at different levels on the slide (I hadn't pressed on the cover glass just rested it over the pollen and put a little water on).
