help editing videos

#1 Post by garstro » Tue May 19, 2020 3:04 pm

hello everyone. I have gotten to the point of making calibration bars & inserting them in images using windows paint thanks to microbobs videos. Also have gimp & handbrake. But how do you insert cal. bar into video? Seems all this editing software only works on photos. I noticed on this board, most posters don't have cal. bars or magnification x images on photos & especially not on videos. I know it can be done somehow. Anybody know how to do this & what software is needed. I tried windows video editor but can't copy & paste into text box. Saved the calibration bar in PNG format. Would this matter? Thanks in advance for any help.

Give this a try. Allows Multiple cameras, text and images to be combined into one video, and it's free.

Thanks " Roldorf " for a quick response. I'll check it out. If you can import mag power & calibration bars as images into video is just what I'm looking for. I'm new at this & the microbehunter forum & videos are a great help. Thanks again.

Have a look at this for an introduction. Lots more on YouTube.
