I was looking through some photos and it occurred to me that some of my most interesting images were stumbled upon while experimenting.
This terrible dissection of a jumping spider was captured on a Wild Heerbrugg M20 10x bright field objective. Rheinberg filter in the condenser tray. Red annulus yellow center.
Bottom illumination backed off to almost nothing with a point source led from the side facing the eyes of the specimen.
If I moved the specimen at all in any direction, the effect was lost.
To date I have never been able to duplicate the shot.
May we see some of your happy accidents?
Jim
