Where's the white light?

Where's the white light?

So since LED lighting is generally blue, halogen lighting is generally red and tungsten lighting is generally orange, other than daylight, where's the white light?

If you have a very bright halogen bulb you end up with a surplus of flux that you can filter whatever undesirable frequencies from.

Some leds have completely decent distributions and appear very white.

I think some of the old fluorescent lights used in stereo scopes were pretty ok.
