Here you can discuss different microscopic techniques and illumination methods, such as Brightfield, Darkfield, Phase Contrast, DIC, Oblique illumination, etc.

Video flicker in less than optimum illumination

I'm big on pushing the limits on illumination in the microscope. Sometimes when I use side illumination, darkening the field, minimizing illumination from below the stage and compensating with my software controls for brightness and contrast, I can still get reasonable still images. in many cases the videos tend to blink and stall. Why do the cameras do that?

YOU COULD USE A DEFLICKER APP.
