So?

How well did they work? Got some photos?

I'm looking for decent quality Rheinberg filters that fit Nikon condensers (at 32mm) and would prefer non-printed, solid color filters. Sure I could make my own, but I suspect they'd look a lot like these....not that there's anything wrong with these.

Right?

Those look pretty good, some photos are expected.

Once, I heard some discussion about a black margin around the central disc that would enhance contrast, but I never tried it.

You've motivated me to get creative.

I use a 32mm EK (brand name) hole punch - Amazon - $12.00, to make both solid filters and similar EK punches in smaller sizes to make center stops and rings.
I use spot light gel plastic in a rainbow of colors to make very nice filters.
I mount them on 32mm glass watch crystals.
Mike Swartz has a book on Amazon giving very good instruction and photos for making filters.
Enjoy. Greg

Is 32mm the correct size if I want to make inserts for my Nikon Inverted Diaphot condensor?

I assume I would want flat 32mm watch crystals?

Flat crystals. I think they're 32mm the next size smaller would be 30mm.
If you can't find watch crystals on Amazon, go to
Essenger.com

Thanks. I'm in Thailand, no Amazon here. I'll have to order from China, and it takes a while, that's why I was hoping to know the exact size for my microscope.
