this slider comes at the location of the blue filter and can be shifted left and right to ajust the depht.it's made of a piece of a plasic cake box(it's the time of the year 😉 ) and some ductape, this can be any color.dimensions 30mm*x150mm.

*depending on your blue filter

That is a very nice effect :-)
Roughly where in the system does this get placed? [Seems a stupid question, but I am not familiar with these microscopes]
I have looked in the Bresser manual but it doesnt really show or seem to mention the blue filter's position.

Legion air,

I took your idea a bit further. I realized that this can be expanded to produce the dic effect mentioned in the below link.

Here is the normal oblique slider.

Here is 2 slider used to create below videos. The sliders are stacked together to create a blue oblique light on one side and white light from edge on the other side.

10x - view it in 4k

40x

Off to create rheinberg filters :)

That's a smart idea!
Yesterday I tried a combInation of a (variable) darkfield filter and one of my flashlight filters that I placed directly over the lightsource.

Looks nice. Combine them together or alone in oblique manner produces nice effect. I have multi color films as well and playing with it :). They produce nice image up to 20x. 40x is not good in my experiments.
