Replace Nikon light with LED

I want to replace the bottom source on my Nikon Optiphot-POL. Any other inexpensive suggestions are welcome. I'm trying to get pricing but have not gotten a reply yet.

This potential market of this LED lamp seems to be low-budget projects in the industry and/or clinics and maybe academic or educational institutes.
Because, on the one hand, it is designed as a source of tailored (wavelength) monochromatic light for excitation of fluorescence. On the other hand,
its declared power (3W) is relatively low for microscopy. Especially since it appears to be too large to fit into the base of a microscope.
So (if I am correct) it is intended to be attached to the rear port of the base, but then the optical path becomes long.
I would ask the seller to provide details and a demonstration of its use on specific microscopes.

For non-fluorescence hobby use on an Optiphot, a specifically (commercial) built 10-20W white light LED lamp
would be better and, for a price of ~ 200 USD, cheaper IMHO.

A collimated LED is really just an emitter (preferrably undomed) mounted on a heat sink with an aspheric lens in front of it to act as a condensing lens. If you have a 3d printer it is easy to buy the necessary parts and hook them all together for much less than a complete system.

For an experiment if you have a Harbor Freight Tools store near you they have several LED lights priced VERY inexpensive.
Maybe just a temp fix or whatever.
