Phase Contrast on Swift SW380t?

Here you can discuss different microscopic techniques and illumination methods, such as Brightfield, Darkfield, Phase Contrast, DIC, Oblique illumination, etc.

Phase Contrast on Swift SW380t?

Is it possible to use a phase contrast kit from a different company on the Swift SW380t? I have looked at some of Amscope's phase contrast kits, but they seem to vary in mount size and mounting mechanism. The Swift SW380t does seem to have a detachable condenser, though.

Phase systems are pretty generic as long as the condenser and objectives match. If you can get a phase condenser to fit, center and go up and down , the objectives will work.

The going up and down is the difficult part. In order for phase to work well, the condenser and phase diaphragms need to be very precisely adjusted.for condenser focus. I can't see the rationale of retrofitting a condenser track into a 380t for phase.
Best start with a microscope that has a removeable , focusing condenser, already and centering controls on the dovetail yoke, not the condenser : unless it is an older one that has them on the condenser housing.
