Hi , as Rheinberg is a derivative of dark field, does the size of the central stop matter as much? Ie do you need different sizes for each magnification. Thanks.

I would say the stop size matters more for Reinberg. With dark field stops, there’s not a major issue if your central patch is oversized for the magnification you’re using. You’ll get less light than you could have - but that’s about it. With Reinberg, though, having an oversized central patch means that your oblique illumination will be contaminated by the light filtering through the central patch. You won’t get as nice of a contrast between the two colors you chose.
