Very Small Organisms

How much do we know about very small organisms? I am seeing full-motion organisms at the very limits of my 60X objective. Some are ovular, some circular, some look for all the world like worns or fish and others have very strange shapes. I saw one that look like a petrified amoeba but it moved by indulatiing its body.
