Arcella dentata, a first encounter for me!

#1 Post by charlie g » Tue Dec 14, 2021 8:35 pm

After all these years of visiting neighbor pond life...well I thought I was at 'Burger King'!

This delightful encounter made my bench session. After reading about it in Kudo's 5th edition ( online sold very cheap/ online archives free lookup too...but I like texts) "Protozoology", I checked online and the name has'nt been changed.

I respectfully sloshed it into one of my long term slanted jar cultures after a bit of interaction with this amoeba. Please enjoy, this is my first..sigh..desperately seeking Volvox for decades. charlie g

Hope you run into it or its descendants again one day.
