a new fungi friend

#1 Post by myxomop » Sun Jun 13, 2021 7:51 am

Hello MicrobeHunter,

My name is Danny Newman, and I'm a non-professional mycologist and parataxonomist, focusing primarily on the fungi of the South American Andes and certain "neglected" groups across the world. I am always in the process of slowly assembling my home lab (minus DIC/Nomarski which shall, likely, forever remain out of my pocketbook's reach), and am currently on the hunt for a freezing stage controller to go with my new used AO880 microtome. I'm also in the market for an affordable, high quality dissecting scope. You can see my trinocular BHS over here. Most of my work has, historically, gone up MushroomObserver, and to a far lesser extent, iNaturalist, as well as a few peer-reviewed publications, lectures, posters and presentations, most of which can be found here.

Looking forward to getting to know the community here.

Yours in Spores,

-Danny
