Hi, my name is Jürgen, I am 46 years old and used to work as a graphic designer. Not anymore because i got struck with cancer and am now, very slowly, in a healing process. My profession now is to be a patient.
After purchasing an industrial inspection microscope and happily playing around with it, I stumbled upon Microbehunter’s YouTube channel and became instantly fascinated. With a bit uf luck I was able to buy an old Olympus CHA microscope (phase contrast) for a reasonable price. It arrived two days ago.
So — here I am.

Really?

I already have a question regarding the tension adjustment ring on my CHA (it is rock solid, no turning possible).
In what board should I ask my question: "My microscope"? "Beginner’s corner"? or "Microscopes and optics"?

Hello Jürgen,

I am sorry to hear about your illness. I hope that you are maintaining and finding joy in your hobby. My name is Kurt. I will visit Germany next year. Do you have any recommendation with respect to microscopy? I was thinking of visiting the Zeiss corporation in Jena . . .
