Retired and loving it!

#1 Post by Rapidray » Mon Sep 21, 2020 7:09 pm

Now I can spend the rest of my days pursuing my interests full time now. No worries about time restraints or ????
Microscopy and astronomy have always interested me. Astronomy is great but you are at Mother Nature mercy. Not so with microscopy.
Have enjoyed reading the members posts.and more so the photos and videos.
Take care.

I retired 2 years ago and have worked the last two for fun money and as I hit my limit SS says I can make I quit again untill the following year. Don’t know if I will be going back next year with the 19 still out there.

UPS delivered my OMAS this evening. Everything is working great...eye pieces, light, turret etc. Will be at the lake tomorrow and getting a sample to check out what is there. WIth it being Orlando I know I wouldn’t be disappointed. Have also been invited to Silver Springs in two weeks, so that should be a great weekend.

I retired exactly ten years ago and didn't even miss my work for one minute. I am also an amateur astronomer (and a mountainbiker and a bird watcher/photographer). What I do most at the moment, besides observing,is correcting bad mirrors from Newtonian telescopes.

I'm semi-retired. With all that's going on with microscopy I am tempted to go back to work full time just so I can get some rest.😃
