Hello from Seattle

#1 Post by Horseflesh » Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:09 pm

I'm an old school science geek, and my mom was even a biology teacher. That is where I got my first microscope experience... she borrowed one from school for me to use over the summers when I was little.

Years later, and I don't own a scope, but am looking to fix that. I actually joined for some help in IDing a scope in a for-sale listing.

Once I get a scope my interests are general microscopy, but also using it to do yeast cell counts/viability studies, as I do homebrewing.

Cheers!

Welcome - and good luck finding a scope. Might check past posts for suggestions.

I did biochemistry in university but ended up working in video games, haha. The material was very interesting but the profession required long, dull lab hours and it turned out I wasn't in to that.
