I'm a bit confused. I've a pristine wild m5, and a nikon d5100. What do I need to connect them and take hq pictures and hd video

Hi, a photo of your 'scope is the very best place to start, it may be easier than you think, but the image will as the adage says be "worth a thousand words".

The easiest way is to get a phototube. Otherwise you would need some type of eyepiece adapter for your camera or cell phone. Phototube on a M5 shown below:
